ACT is a member based organization. It affiliates institutions, firms and individuals who operate businesses or conduct related activities within the agricultural sector. That is, its members may be corporate bodies or natural persons although there is a bias towards associations of all kinds.

Ultimately, ACT aspires to build up a strong base of grass root member organizations in its affiliations countrywide. However, ACT is also trying to reach the individual entrepreneur and the smallholder agricultural and livestock practitioner.
